Connecticut State Dental Association Welcomes New President

Dr. Annemarie DeLessio-Matta Sworn in as President of the CSDA.

The Connecticut State Dental Association (CSDA), a statewide, professional membership organization representing Connecticut licensed dentists and the statewide constituent of the American Dental Association, is proud to announce Annemarie ”Mimi” DeLessio-Matta, DMD, as President of the CSDA Board of Governors. Dr. DeLessio-Matta was sworn in on Wednesday, May 5 during the Annual Session of the CSDA House of Delegates. Dr. DeLessio-Matta will serve a one-year term.

“I’m thrilled to serve as president of the CSDA this coming year,” said Dr. DeLessio-Matta. “We are still in the middle of a global pandemic, so I know my work and the work of the Board of Governors will continue to be difficult, but as a team we will continue to support the dental profession in Connecticut and help dental offices move forward.”

Dr. DeLessio-Matta is a pediatric dentist in Southbury, CT. She was a recipient of a Presidential Scholarship at Saint Francis University, Loretto, PA where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1989. Dr. DeLessio-Matta was also a graduate of the Honors Program. In 1993, she graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine in Farmington, CT. She completed a general practice residency in 1994 at Brigham and Women's Hospital/ Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. Dr. DeLessio-Matta was trained in Pediatric Dentistry at St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx, NY, and also served as Chief Resident during her time there.
